7th Photographic Image Biennial Exhibition, 2011
East Carolina University
Greenville, North Carolina, USA
Opening January 13
This 7th biennial exhibit at
East Carolina University(web site)
in Greeneville NC is open only to photography.
North Carolina residents are proud to have such a wonderful art-based university.
I feel fortunate and privileged to be a small part of this national exhibit.
The exhibition was selected from 307 entries from 23 states.
The juror , Keith Carter, chose 83 works for inclusion in the exhibition covering the range of photographic processes, including the now dominant digital imaging, traditional black and white and color photography, antiquarian and alternative processes.
Keith awarded five $1,000 awards to Dylan Ray, Beaufort, NC; Bridget Milligan, Tiro, OH; Kenda North, Dallas, TX; Fred Scruton, Cranesville, PA; and Robert Sulkin, Roanoke, VA.
The photograph, "Almost"
, displayed below and selected by the
juror for this exhibit was taken in Paris, France during September 2010.
